This weekend near me: What’s happening? Here are a few things you should check out in and around Charlotte.
👉 1. See old billboards take on new life
What? One Charlotte nonprofit has found a high fashion use for something that could have been thrown out.
ArtPop Street Gallery is hosting a fashion show featuring clothing designed by using the vinyl from upcycled local billboards!
The event that’s showing it off this weekend has already sold out but is on full display right now on ArtPop’s social media accounts.
See what the artists come up with!
👉 2. Help provide a Thanksgiving meal
What? Charlotte Rescue Mission has launched its annual food drive in an effort to collect an estimated 5,000 complete Thanksgiving meals to share with families in need this holiday season.
Tony the Turkey stopped by QC Lifeto give us the scoop on what to know! (It’s really Tony Marciano from the rescue mission.)
It’s a lot of food to collect, so start gathering your donations now to help others in our community.
