CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - The Charlotte-Mecklenburg Crime Stoppers organization has announced that it will host its second annual 5K walk/run in October. Our Alex Giles stopped by the QC Life set to give us the details.
The event is scheduled for Saturday, October 4, at the Charlotte Police and Fire Training Academy, located on Shopton Road. The event is expected to begin shortly after 8 a.m. Participants are encouraged to arrive early.
Registration for the event is $20 a person, and all of the money raised will help fund the rewards that Crime Stoppers pays to people who provide police with helpful information about crime in the community.
