21 Day Reading Challenge to end in Block Party

The first BlkTech Charlotte 21-Day Reading Challenge is underway in the University City area.

The goal of the challenge is to encourage African American and Latinx teenage students to increase their habit of reading. It also gives them something fun to do.

The reading program launched on July 21 and will run until August 11. The event will end with a block party.

The block party is in conjunction with Charlotte’s first AfroFurturism Fest. Students from high schools in University City have been invited to participate. It will take place from August 11-14.
