Jackson County is home to some of the most beautiful waterfalls in North Carolina. There are nearly 30 listed on the county’s tourism website. Each unique in their own beautiful way. But one set of falls has a claim that no other waterfall east of the Rockies can make. And the best part…it’s easy to get to. Our Brian Stephenson takes us just about 3 hours out of Charlotte to Whitewater Falls.
Whitewater Falls is located in Jackson County just about a mile from the South Carolina border and is about a half-hour from the town of Cashiers. The falls are open year-round from dawn until dusk. There is a self-pay $3 dollar fee for vehicles with 7 people or less.
