Amtrak recently released its vision for the future.

That includes a route from Asheville over to Wilmington, with a stop in Salisbury along the way.

That’s a trip straight from the North Carolina coast to the mountains.

We wanted to find out more about when this dream could become a reality.

It’s all part of the Amtrak 2035 plan.
