Asheville Art Exhibit Made Out Of Legos

A butterfly, a bee and a huge spider! Check out all 16 Lego sculptures at the North Carolina Arboretum.

Just about all of us have played with legos at some point. But while you may have been building towers and little buildings, one artist has built huge sculptures and you can check them out now. Whitney Smith is from the North Carolina Arboretum in Asheville. She joined us on QC Morning to talk about this super cool Lego art exhibit. Whitney tells us this exhibit features 16 nature-inspired sculptures made entirely out of lego bricks. She says with all the sculptures combines there are about 500,000 bricks! WOW, that’s crazy! She tells us this is a great way for people to get outside and learn about nature, but it still has that toy-feel twist to it.
