Giving Tuesday: Bogues Family Foundation 30 for 30 Campaign

“We do our best to try and give them an opportunity to strengthen their families. That’s what we’re all about.”

We’ve had three days dedicated to shopping, but today is about giving back. Giving Tuesday was created in 2012 to encourage people to give back to their community. This year, the Bogues Family Foundation is teaming up with SHARE Charlotte to take part in Giving Tuesday for the first time. Former Charlotte Hornet and Bogues Family Foundation, Muggsy Bogues joined us on QC Morning, along with Consulting Executive Director Terry Albanese.

The Bogues Family Foundation has created a new initiative for its Giving Tuesday Campaign. Terry says they are really ramping up to do some programs to help alleviate food insecurity starting in the new year. She says the Giving Tuesday Campaign is focused on raising funds to help families that are struggling right now.

Muggsy tells us they hope to raise $30,000 to help 30 families in need. Muggsy says so many people have been devasted by this crisis and they just want to be able to give back and help the community.
