Blumenthal Arts contestant, Hickory Ridge grad, wins national recognition

Life is good for Bryson Battle right now. The recent Hickory Ridge High School graduate is headed to the Boston Conservatory at Berklee to study musical
theater.

With him, he’ll carry at $25,000 scholarship he won in the Jimmy Awards. Battle was named best actor in the national musical theater competition, besting
students from schools all over the country. Typically the awards are held in person in New York City. This year the training, classes, performances and
ceremony were held virtually.

Bryson Battle joined us on QC Morning to talk about what it was like to win at the local and then national levels and what he thinks this means for his musical
theater career.
