Carolina Camera: Local singer makes her dreams come true

Many of us have dreams…but how many of us truly live out our dreams?  A young lady from Ashe County is certainly living out her dream and we’re getting to follow along!  Several years ago, then 11-year-old Taylon Hope appeared on WBTV where she sang and talked about her dream to one day perform in Nashville, the home of country music.  Well, guess what?  That’s exactly what she’s doing today!  Now 15 years old (soon to turn 16), she’s writing and singing on some of Nashville’s biggest and most iconic stages.  That includes the Ryman Auditorium, the home of the legendary Grand Ole Opry.  Not only that, she’s opened for some of the best-known acts in country music, including Dolly Parton!  John Carter checks in with Taylon to update us on her career and what it feels like to realize a dream!  You’ll also find out what Taylon’s plans for the future are.  It’s a wonderful success story about a North Carolina native who has incredible talent…and what it takes to be a rising star.
