To celebrate Hanukkah, the Chabad Center for Jewish Life in Charlotte is throwing a parade. The 40 car Menorah parade is scheduled for this Sunday, December 13th in South Charlotte. You can catch a concrete mixer truck decorated as a giant dreidel – that’s the spinning top toy played during Hanukkah. The other cars will be decorated in the spirit of Hannukah, as well. Physical distancing guidelines will be followed. The goal is the spread the light of Hanukkah.
The parade will begin at 3:30 pm at the Chabad Center of Jewish Life and continue through South Charlotte. It will end in the parking lot of Dick’s Sports at South Park Mall for a socially distant menorah lighting ceremony.
