Celebrating National Vodka Day with a classic martini

It’s no secret there’s a holiday for pretty much everything out there, but today is one that a lot of people can get behind – it’s National Vodka Day!

And to help us celebrate, QC Life had the lovely Rachel Sosebee from Little Mama’s Italian Kitchen with us to show us how to make the perfect vodka martini.

Little Mama’s Italian Kitchen is a collaborative celebration of the 1960s and 1970s Italian restaurants restauranteur Frank Scibelli, operations guru Stephanie Kalish, and chef-partner Tom Dyrness, who enjoyed growing up that also inspired their careers in hospitality. They additionally serve classic Italian-American dishes.

Located in SouthPark near Diamonds Direct, Little Mama’s features a menu with classic, comforting dishes like scratch-made pasta and mozzarella.

If you wanted to make the drink at home, here is what you need:

2 oz vodka or gin

1 oz vermouth

Then decide shaken or stirred. Double strain for on the rocks. Garnish with an olive or twist.
