October is National Bullying Prevention Month and it falls in line with the release of a new book “Dad, the Bully, and the Orange Ball”. Lawrence Gordon is the author. He joined us again on QC@3 to tell us where he got the idea for this book. Lawrence says it started out with a conversation with his son. He tells us his son was experiencing some troubles in school. Lawrence said he decided to honor his son and spread awareness about Bullying by writing a children’s book. He says this book is about a dad sharing his experience of being bullied. He said he chose basketball because that’s their favorite sport. Lawrence says if any father that plays sports knowns, you can overcome a lot of obstacles at the playground through sports.
Lawrence also tells us to be on the lookout for another book sometime next year. We can’t wait to read it!
