Charlotte Black Film Festival Goes Virtual

"You're gonna think you're in Netflix"

This year marks the 10th Annual Charlotte Black Film Festival. It’s going on right now, virtually, and it’s not too late to watch some of the films that you may have never seen before. You can also be apart of virtual panel discussions. We sat down with founder, Tommy Nichols to talk about what the process was like to turn such a big event into a virtual one. Tommy says he was looking at having a parade to their location, that’s how big the event was going to be. He tells us going from an in-person event to a virtual one was difficult, but they were able to stretch the festival to 8 days. You can still go online and purchase a ticket and once you buy this virtual pass, you’ll be able to enter the portal and watch all of the films.
