Charlotte church holds first in-person service since start of pandemic

It’s been more than 16 months since Freedom Temple Ministries in Rock Hill, SC opened its doors to members of the church. The church shut down in March due to the pandemic.

The first Sunday in August was the day Bishop Herbert Crump, Jr. and his team decided to let members return.

Crump told us on QC@3 Monday’s show that Sunday service went well.

This is Phase Three of people returning to Freedom Temple.

Crump says people have to register to come to the live worship service. Services will be for 100 parishioners.

They must wear masks and their temperatures will be checked before entering the sanctuary.

Crump says people were so excited about coming back to church – some arrived 30-40 minutes before service started.

Crump says safety is the top priority and will continue to evaluate procedures before allowing all members to return at the same time.

Bishop Crump says his Sermon Title for Sunday’s first day back was “I’ve Changed Since Then” – I Corinthians 13:11.
