Juneteenth was celebrated over the weekend and while it was a day filled with joy and dancing, it is also a time to bring to light some of the inequalities that still exist in our country.
The Charlotte Mecklenburg Library started conversations about equity, inclusion and racial advancement months ago.
It partnered with Community Building Initiative, known as CBI.
Together, they are working on a program called Equity Impact Circles and you can get involved, too.
