Charlotte Shout Returns, But It’s A Lot More Than You Remember

The blow-out festival combines ideas, music, food and art. Charlotte Shout runs through May 11th.

Charlotte Shout is currently underway, and it’s not an understatement to say there is something for everyone!

The festival runs from April 29th through May 11th and features unique acts, art and food for all.

For those interested in music, Anthony Hamilton will headline Thursday’s performance, Umphrey’s McGee will headline Friday and Bleachers will headline Saturday. Tickets are $35 per performance and can be purchased via their site here.

Several art installations are popping up across the city as well. You’ve probably seen the giant inflatable bunnies on The Green or the light up seesaws across the street at the Levine Center for the Arts. Some other unique installations include a light-up wheat field called Entre Les Rangs in First Ward Park, Prismatica at 5th and 6th Streets and Constellation, an LED light and music show, at Trade and Tryon.

If you remember food being a big portion of the previous Charlotte Shout run, don’t worry! It’s still a component and will be focused mostly at 7th Street Public Market. Highlights include a Southern Breakfast Cooking Experience with Chef Greg Collier, a coffee cupping with Not Just Coffee and distillery pairings.

There will also be food trucks distributed throughout the city!
