Right now, students in our area are getting the chance to learn to code. The 10-week program is about to come to an end, where they will show off their work in a virtual event. Jonathan Lindsay with Microsoft and Marcus Freeman, who attends South Mecklenburg High School joined us on QC@3. Jonathan says this program came about because of boredom. He tells us he and a friend of his were talking about the struggles students were having during COVID with having something to do. He says since they both worked in the tech industry, they thought a coding camp would bring some structure to these students summer but also something they can use going forward. Marcus tells us he loves coding! He tells us his team created an app to help the remote learning organization.
