Thanksgiving is two weeks from Thursday. Normally this time of year college students across the country are getting ready to come home. With the rising cases of coronavirus, families need to be cautious. Dr. Jill Grimes is the author of The Ultimate College Student Health Handbook. She joined us on QC Morning to share some advice. Dr. Jill tells us we all know the basics of washing our hands and wearing masks, but the second thing is to make sure everyone is getting their flu shot. She also says you need to think about is maximizing your respiratory tract health. Jill says this means not smoking but also thinking about seasonal allergies. Another suggestion she makes is taking vitamin D. She says people who have low levels of vitamin D are more susceptible to COVID.
