The city of Kings Mountain was incorporated back in 1874.
It was a time known as the “Gilded Age.”
Think Andrew Carnegie, John D. Rockefeller, and G.W. Vanderbilt – a time of the steel, oil and railroad industries.
The Kings Mountain Historical Museum is taking a closer look at the gilded age and its impact on the city.
The exhibit is going on now through October 23.
Admission to the museum is free.
And it’s open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 a.m. to 4 pm.
