BBQ + Alcohol = Perfection
For the fourth year, the South End Hops Festival will make its return over Mother’s Day weekend 2017. Attendees can expect more than 40 local breweries on hand for tastings and some pretty delicious food as well. New this year, though, are food demonstrations by Chef Chris Coleman from Stoke Charlotte. He’ll be highlighting some of the different ways to cook with beer. He gave us a look at one of the dishes he’ll be preparing on Saturday – ‘beerbecue’ chicken.
Not only will people get to experience a seriously fun time featuring bands and booze, but even better – the money raised benefits RescuedMe, a non-profit which helps pups in need.
You’ll find Chef C at the festival at 308 W. Carson Blvd. at the corner of Mint Street from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, May 13.
