An organization in our community is starting something new to help brain injury survivors. You can find Hinds’ Feet Farm in Asheville and also in Huntersville. It is just a little ways off of Sam Furr Road. Now the nonprofit is launching free virtual day programming. Erica Rawls is the Day Program Director. She joined us on QC@3 to tell us more about this free virtual program. Erica tells us this new program is for any adults that are brain injury survivors living in North Carolina. Erica tells us they do things differently at the farm. She says they try to look at the whole person and pay attention to their development and the things they are interested in doing. Erica says they focus on two domains. She says one is connecting members to the community. She says the other focus is on what the members want to learn more about.
