This Healthy Cookie Dough Alternative Takes Five Minutes to Make

Dessert humus is now a thing!

Dessert hummus?

We know you’re probably thinking those two words do not go together.

But after a little investigation, we discovered it’s actually delicious.

In fact, cookie dough hummus tastes just like cookie dough and you can eat it guilt free.

What’s more: it is super easy to make!

Christine Jaegers, the Fitness and Wellness Coordinator at the Osage Centre in Cape Girardeau, showed us how to blend it up.

Cookie Dough Hummus


1 (15-oz) can garbanzo beans
½ cup peanut butter
2 Tbsp. honey (or agave)
1 tsp. vanilla extract
½ cup dark chocolate chips


1. Drain and rinse beans
2. Place all ingredients (except cholate chips) in a food processor & blend until smooth
3. Transfer “dough” to a bowl and fold in chocolate chips.
4. Dig in and enjoy! Store in fridge to chill for a treat later on through the week!
