Historic Huntersville Home Free For Anyone Who Can Move It

Around the QC, a historic home could be yours, for free.

Huntersville Town commissioners voted to remove a 102-year-old house on Old Statesville Road and Gilead Road. If you act quickly, it could be yours, but you’ll be in charge of relocating it. QC@3’s Jordan Sawyers gives us a closer look.

There are less than 20 days left to save the home. The town had set a 30-day deadline. According to Mecklenburg County tax information, the home is more than 32-hundred square feet with four bedrooms and two bathrooms. By the way, if you are interested in helping preserve the town’s history, you can become part of the Olde Huntersville Historic Society. The group meets tomorrow night at 7 at the Arts and Cultural Center.
