How a local homebuilder is using census data

Greg Stallard is the Charlotte Division President for Stanley Martin Homes.

He spoke to QC@3 Monday about how his company uses information from the 2020 Census Data to help determine how to proceed and build.

Stallard believes the Census can help shape the housing market and inform local developments and neighborhoods on how they should respond to building future projects.

Stanley Martin Homes claims the economic data found on the 2020 Census can help set appropriate prices.

During the conversation – he talked about tackling Affordable Housing.

He also says finding out the number of children in a household and the age of people in a particular neighborhood can determine how big developers should build homes.

Stallard says the company used the Census data the last time it was done.
