A unique piece of artwork opens today at the Mint Museum. You’ll definitely want to check it out! It is a four-story art installation! It is by an artist named Summer Wheat and the piece is called Foragers. And while it looks pretty, it also has a deeper meaning. The piece is a tribute to women who made North Carolina what it is today.
Foragers is part of a larger exhibition called “In Vivid Color: Pushing Boundaries of Perception in Contemporary Art”. It’s free to stop by and see Foragers and it also is free to check out Mint Museum Uptown’s atrium. Standard admission rates apply to the Museum’s level 3 and level 4 galleries.
