A local restaurant is finally ready to open its doors after being put on delay by COVID-19.
It is finally time to open the doors at Leah and Louise. That’s the new restaurant in Charlotte’s Camp North End complex that Chef Greg Collier and his wife Subrina have been working on for months. They call it a modern juke joint, influenced by the food they grew up on in Memphis, Tennessee, Mississippi, and New Orleans. It’s been quite a ride for them because they were supposed to start serving diners just as the statewide shut down began. Kristen Miranda had a chance to sit down with Greg and Subrina to talk about how they’re feeling about finally being able to open their doors.
