Local pancake business is booming after recent events.
You likely remember a month ago, Aunt Jemima announced plans to change its name and rebrand. Quaker Oats says the image of Aunt Jemima was quote “based on a racial stereotype”. Deven tells us with the controversy behind the Aunt Jemina name change, there became more of an awareness of Black-owned businesses. He tells us a social media influencer had mentioned their product and the next thing they knew they had a ton of orders coming in.
