Local mother shares her story on World Suicide Prevention Day

The buildings in uptown Charlotte will light up in teal and purple Friday night in honor of World Suicide Prevention Day.

According to the World Health Organization, nearly 800,000 people die by suicide worldwide each year. That’s roughly one death every 40 seconds.

One local mother is sharing her story and what she wants you to know to help prevent suicide.
