Local doctors explains difference between headaches and migraines and how to take care of them.
June is National Migraine and Headache Awareness Month. Millions of people suffer from migraines but how do you know if you’ve got one, or if you just have a headache? We sat down with Dr. Jeffrey Bodle, a neurologist with Atrium Health to discuss the differences. Dr. Bodle says migraines are often reoccurring and that nausea, sensitivity to light and sound are associated with it. He says when someone gets a migraine it can hinder them from their daily activities. Some people may have to go into a dark quiet room to getaway.
