Project Pink to provide free mammograms at WBTV for the fifth year

As you may have heard on QC Morning, approximately 1 in 8 women will be diagnosed with invasive breast cancer in their lifetime. For the fifth straight year, WBTV is partnering with the Levine Cancer Institute and Charlotte Radiology to bring the Project Pink bus to our parking lot. Kristi O’Connor joined us on QC@3 along with Dr. Amy Sobel from Charlotte Radiology to explain why early detection is so important.

WBTV also partners with the Susan G. Komen Race for the Cure. A virtual race last weekend helped raise more than 350-thousand dollars for breast cancer research.
