"It starts with relationship and proximity."
There are many conversations being had about race. Today, Jennifer Davis, a Human Resources Consultant joined us on QC Morning to talk about discussing race in the workplace. Jennifer says the conversation shouldn’t start with race but with something you have in common with the other person. Once you’ve established common ground, she says you can begin to discuss or ask questions surrounding race. Jennifer explains that we all have an obligation to make people comfortable with our differences. She says if we can acknowledge our differences and ask for help understanding other peoples lives, we can get to those conversations on race.
