The Charlotte 9/11 Stair Climb Is Now Virtual

The Charlotte 9/11 Memorial Stair Climb is a way for firefighters and the community to honor and remember the FDNY firefighters who gave their lives. This year, the climb is virtual and you can still sign up. Jonathan Griswold is the coordinator and he joined us on QC@3. Jonathan tells us they usually have the stair climb in Uptown at the Duke Energy building, but because of COVID that had to change things up a bit. He says you can sign up the same way, register as a virtual climber and you’ll receive a shirt from the National Fallen Firefighter Foundation. Jonathan says you can do your stair climb anywhere you want, another option is running a 9.11K, which is roughly about six miles.
