With North Carolina entering phase 2.5 of reopening tomorrow, Museums will be allowed to re-open at 50 percent capacity. The Mint Museum is ready with some new exhibits. Dr. Jen Sudul Edwards is the Chief Curator, and Curator of Contemporary Arts at the Mint Museum. She joined us on QC Morning to talk about the new things planned and what safety measures they have in place. Dr. Jen tells us they will reopen to the public on Friday, September 25th. She says they are so excited for the doors to open. She tells us they’ve been closed for 6 months but have still been turning over the galleries with new exhibits. Dr. Jen tells us the biggest installations so far is one that will be featured in the Atrium next week. Dr. Jen says this installation will celebrate female laborers and workers.
