Are you ready for the new school year?
Meck Pre-K has announced it’s lifting the income requirements for this year’s registration. So there are only eligibility requirements.
Children must live in Mecklenburg County:
- And they must be 4 years old on or before August 31st.
- Now, parents, you will still need to provide documentation of income.
- However, families earning more than 400 percent over the federal poverty level will still qualify for the free pre-kindergarten program.
The announcement about lifting the income restrictions comes after it was announced that MECK Pre-K would open with in-person instruction. Trinisha Dean is the director of MECK Pre-k. She joined us on QC Morning to talk more about the new school year and what you can expect.
