Three Things to Mask Up, Head Out and See

Our week would not be complete without checking in with our friends from Charlotte is Creative at least once. They help us keep track of things going on around the QC. Today, they are bringing us Three Things to Mask Up, Head Out and See.

  1. Window murals being painted at West End Fresh Seafood and Tabla Restaurant: Unfortunately, COVID-19 isn’t going anywhere for a while. It’s important to remember to wash your hands, social distance, and wear a mask. The Count On Me CLT effort wanted some innovative ways to get that message out there. They connected with three artists, who over the next two weeks will be painting original murals in the windows of three Charlotte businesses. Get out and watch the artists paint or swing by and take a picture in front of one of these beautiful murals.
  2. Back to the Future Screening at Victoria Yard: This a free outdoor movie screening of Back to the Future 3. Starting at 7:30 p.m. tonight, there will be live music and food trucks while you wait for the movie to begin. There will be limited seating, temperatures will be checked and you are required to wear a mask. And one more detail, someone *cough cough* Matt *cough cough* will be there dressed as Doc to introduce the movie.
  3. New cool Instagram account, @bcc_chalk_the_walk: This is an instagram account of a Charlotte Creative named Michelle Walsh. Michelle was looking for a creative outlet, so she began using chalk on the sidewalks in her neighborhood. Her artwork shares messages about voting and wearing masks.
  4. One to Grow On: LatinX creatives featured in The Biscuit: Charlotte is Creative has been celebrating National Hispanic Herritage Month. The guys tells us Charlotte is bursting with amazingly creative Latin artists. Tim and Matt encourage you to go look at their social media pages and bask in the creative genius.
