Enjoy a delicious plate of bacon jam and biscuits from Haberdish!
Happy early Valentine’s Day to us! Today on QC Morning, Chef Chris Rogienski from Haberdish joined us in the kitchen to whip up their delicious bacon jam! They also brought in some heart shaped biscuits to eat with it! You might think you could never make bacon jam yourself, but we’re here to tell you, you can! Check out how easy the recipe is!
1. Recipe – Bacon Jam – large family batch:
7 small diced onions
4.25 lbs bacon
1.5 tbs cracked black pepper
2.5 lbs tomato paste
1 c apple cider vinegar
Brown your bacon and drain.
In the same pot, add onions and sweat until soft
Add crispy bacon back to pot
Cook the tomato paste into the mix
Deglaze with apple cider and black pepper
Simmer for 15 minutes
