It’s a new year! New restaurants are opening, chefs are creating new delicious dishes, and there are new food events for you to attend. For all this food news, we turn to our good friend, Kristen Wile with Unpretentious Palate.
Three Courses with Unpretentious Palate:
- Restaurant news: Orto, an Italian restaurant is opening at the end of the month in NoDa. This restaurant is owned by Chef Paul Verica. He is a two-time James Beard Foundation Semi-Finalist. Enjoy housemade pasta and a casual dining experience. In other restaurant news, Supperland is delaying the opening. This new spot can be found in an old church in Plaza Midwood. Right now the has paused operations and they are hoping to open mid February.
- Food event: Crafting with Cocktails Sip & Shop at Free Range Brewing. This event will take place on January 30 from 1 to 4 p.m.
- Don’t-miss dish: L’Ostrica delivery, from the former executive chef at Stagioni, which is also doing four-course tasting menus now as well.
