Memory Cafes Connecting Caregivers & Seniors
We all might be feeling like we are missing out on a social life right now due to the pandemic. A group is working to bring adults age 60 and older together virtually, especially those with dementia and their caregivers. Amanda Thomas is a Family Caregiver Support Specialist. She joined us on QC@3 to talk about how memory cafes are connecting caregivers and seniors.
The care facility has incorporated line dancing and chair yoga through Facebook live broadcasts. The center says people in the community have helped make this possible.
