Here is an option for Charlotte-area parents who might be looking for a solution to schools not being fully reopened this fall.
The YMCA of Greater Charlotte wants to help parents as they tackle the new world of virtual classes and remote learning. It is offering a back-to-school program this fall. Each day, kids will get virtual learning time through their schools, participate in social-emotional activities and get in some exercise. Everyone will be split up into groups to keep social distancing possible.
The Back to School program is available for kids in preschool through 12th grade. Program costs vary, and financial assistance is available. Parents can find a location and hold their child’s spot by clicking here.
Adrianne Hobbs, the Executive Director of Youth Development, joined us on QC@3 to talk about the program.
