How to help your pet with firework noise

There’s a way to comfort your dog during Fourth of July fireworks.

Walk-in closets or bedrooms are great places to put your dog during a fireworks display. Additionally, medication and t-shirts can be beneficial.

Microchipping is important for dogs to have. The July 4th fireworks displays trigger dogs to run off. Just as important, it tracks your dog if they are lost.

“Make sure your animal is microchipped,” said CMPD Animal Care and Control’s Melissa Knicely.
