Windy Hill Orchard and Cidery welcomes back apple pickers

Fall is in the air and that means it’s officially apple-picking season at Windy Hill Orchard and Cidery in York, S.C.

When it comes to apple picking, remember that red means right! The more color means the more sugar that has started to develop in the apple.

There are hundreds of apple trees at Windy Hill Orchard and Cidery that are producing that perfect red, sweet, delicious apple.

Those perfect apples are used to make Windy Hill’s fresh apple cider, hard cider, apple cider doughnuts, apple butter and, of course, apple pie.
