CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Over the weekend, many of you will be taking down all of those holiday decorations.

Maybe you already have and you’re just trying to figure out what to do with that tree.

The answer is easy - recycle!

You can take the tree yourself to one of the four full-service recycling centers in Mecklenburg County. They are:

  • Foxhole Yard Waste Facility on Lancaster Highway
  • North Mecklenburg Recycling Center on Statesville Road
  • The Hickory Grove Yard Waste Facility on Pence Road
  • The Compost Central Mulch and Composting on West Boulevard.

Whether you take the tree yourself or have it picked up, what happens to those trees?
