The Mineral Springs Greenway in Union County is about a 40-minute drive from Charlotte.

If you go, you might spot Lynn Rivera hiking there with her son, who has autism.

She is a Trailmaster for Carolina Thread Trail. She says the trail is a lifesaver for her family.
