On QC@3, we talked with Treena Chaudhuri, co-owner of Twigs and Figs.

There are workshops every weekend and slow-flow Yoga every Sunday morning at 9 a.m.

Yoga is donation only, and 100 percent of the donations go to Time Out Youth Charlotte (which serves LGBTQ+ youth ages 11-20).

Chaudhuri talked to us about the experience of opening a small business during the coronavirus pandemic.

One of the weekend workshops is a $40 Sip and Plant: Indoor Gardening for Beginners on Saturday, Jan. 29, from 4-6 p.m.

“You can get your hands dirty while sipping a drink (either one alcoholic or non-alcoholic drink of your choice is included) from bar! This session will help you become a confident plant parent. From understanding water, light, and soil needs to learning how to repot your newly adopted plant, this hands-on session will guide you through everything you need to get started growing your indoor jungle. Includes a beautiful tropical plant with a suitable pot and plant care goodies.”

Another one of the weekend workshops is a $40 Macrame Plant Hanger on Sunday, Jan. 30, from 4-6 p.m.

“Create a macrame plant hanger for a pot. Our instructors will teach how to make this intricate pattern with strings. Learn how to combine different macrame knots and play with lengths to design the perfect knotted piece. Learn one of the most meditative art mediums while making a beautiful plant holder hanger. Includes the pot and a gorgeous tropical plant to match.”
