CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - It’s been about a month since we’ve been tracking Poptart, a female loggerhead turtle that was just released into the Atlantic off the coast of Florida in July.
She’s traveled more than 920 miles into the Bahamas.
The Sea Turtle Conservancy is based in Gainesville, Florida. David Gofrey, the organization’s executive director, gives us insight about their turtle tracking for Poptart and all her friends.
The tracking helps to understand the turtles, the pathways they share, their behaviors, and more.
