Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee welcomes N.C. and S.C. top student spellers

Four (4) students from North Carolina and two (2) students from South Carolina will qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee tournament.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - The Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee will be held in the Atrium Health Dome March 12-13.

The event will welcome top student spellers from grades 3-8 representing 58 school districts in North Carolina and South Carolina.

Four (4) students from North Carolina and two (2) students from South Carolina will qualify for the Scripps National Spelling Bee tournament.

Students from public school districts, private/ charter and homeschools qualified for the Panthers Bee through school district-level Bees and other qualifying events.

In 2021, 8th grader Sreethan Gajula qualified for the Scripps National Spelling Bee through the inaugural Carolina Panthers Regional Spelling Bee and went on to post a Top 7 finish in the national competition.

Sreethan will serve as a special advisor to this year’s national qualifiers.
