Charlotte Black Dogs holding 8th annual “Paws in the Park” event

Charlotte Black Dogs holding 8th annual "Paws in the Park" event “Paws in the Park” to bring awareness to homeless dogs with emphasis on Black Dogs.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - An adorable cause is returning for the 8th year.

Paws in the Park is bringing awareness to homeless dogs to help them find their forever homes.

The event is held by Charlotte Black Dogs and puts emphasis on adopting black dogs from animal shelters since they are usually last to be adopted and first to be euthanized. They do not photograph well and their expressions are hard to see, and also are perceived to be bad luck.

The event is expected to have over 4,000 attendees and they’ll have 15-20 dog rescue/animal shelters coming out with over 150 vendors, food trucks and dog contests. The theme is Beach.

There will also be five rescue dogs performing circus tricks and live band performing.
