The do’s and don’ts of sending out thank you cards

Cards should be sent within three months of receiving a gift.

CHARLOTTE, N.C. (WBTV) - There is a lot more to a thank you note than just scrawling the words “thank you” and popping it in the mail.

Courtney Savoy, president of The American Academy of Etiquette and Decorum, stopped by to go over what to do (and what not to do!) when crafting a proper thank you card.

Cards should be sent out within three months of receiving a gift, and there are several ways to send the card.

Savoy offers weekly etiquette classes for adults and weekend classes for children.
