CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - You think gospel and trap music don’t mesh well? We disagree!
DJ Fannie Mae, a Charlotte-based creative, and Tim Miner with Charlotte is Creative came by the studio to talk about her impressive musical journey and how it all started here in the QC.

DJ Fannie Mae founded the “Sainted Trap Choir” in 2020 in collaboration with singer/songwriter Dennis Reed Jr. A devoted church kid, she wanted to combine her passion for secular music and the southern hip-hop genre and create something entirely new.
According to Mae, the “Sainted Trap Choir” strives to bring attention to the true-life stories of Southern church kids and shed light on their experiences, using music, cultural appreciation, fashion and art.
However, since then her career has gone through the roof.
