CHARLOTTE, N.C. (QC Life) - Happy spring shopping!
Meredith Player, a buyer for Belk joined the show today to give us an overview of the 2024 spring fashion trends and announce the 10th anniversary of Crown and Ivy, their very own women’s apparel line.
The Crown and Ivy brand focuses on creating happiness with fashion, blending southern, feminine and bold styles that radiate confidence and authenticity.
According to Player, eye-catching eyelets are particularly popular with their customers as spring is approaching. Their classic style paired with the comfortable, breathable fabric makes it a best seller during the warmer season.
The new classics trend combines classic tailoring with an unexpected twist. Crown and Ivy’s interpretation of the trend involves a fun shirt with puff sleeves that is perfect for an Easter Brunch, said Player.

Ruffles, exquisite organza, striking sheers and plenty of other “modern feminine details” are at the forefront of fashion as well with brands highlighting feminine romance and whimsey.
For those who prefer timeless, sophisticated styles, the patterned midi is a good choice. Depending on the occasion, you can combine it with sandals or wedges.
Bringing our attention to this year’s color trends, Player said ‘sorbet shades’ such as soft green, pistachios, soft melons, icy blues, soothing lavender, and candy-coated pinks are booming right now.
If you’d like to make a statement, Player recommends exploded florals to draw attention to yourself and your attire.
To celebrate their 10th anniversary, Belk partnered with the lifestyle brand Society Social as well as talented NC A&T college student, Jewel Moser to bring new collections to their customers.
